Sunday Football

Every Sunday afternoon and evening football is on in our house.  Today we had the opportunity to go to the Jets vs. Patriots game, my first live NFL experience! Now, we are from PA and Eagles fans at heart, but a family friend is a rookie punting for the Jets, so it was great to get to see him play! I love a good road trip and new experience with family, all while celebrating the accomplishments of friends!  And turns out I can actually get into a football game and have fun watching it! Yay for self discovery. No scarves knit during this game. They won in overtime with a field goal!

Anyone else addicted to Etsy? There's just something so justifiable about shopping to support someone's creativity.
These earrings are from www.etsy.com/shop/arianakimball and I just love them! She has so many beautiful earrings for sale, I had a hard time choosing just one pair!

Happy shopping!

Marriage and what I've learned...

October 16. 16 months of marraige.

Despite the 38 months of dating prior to our big day, I have since learned...

>>the more snuggling and laughing, the less bickering

>>moods are contagious, good or bad.

>>set goals together, no matter how lofty.

>>vocalize the obvious every day. [feelings, thankfulness, appreciation]

>> even the smallest of surprises can turn the day around

>> bedtime prayers together are the perfect ending to any day

>> just because you're married doesn't mean you have to grow up. [cereal for dinner and living room floor slumber parties welcome]

>> there are times for adventures, and there are times to call it a night at 9pm to  go home and watch TV in your fluffy robe

>> the truest lifelong friends are family

>>puppies are more responsibility than they appear  [& timeline of baby plans may or may not be postponed due to that reality]

Weston, what more can I say but thank you. You do so much every day for me and our future together. I have enjoyed nothing more in life than living the normal- sweatpants, retainers, dirty laundry, no makeup, eggs for dinner cause there's nothing else in the fridge -day to day with you. Id be naive to believe there won't be challenges ahead and valleys to walk though. But I find comfort in knowing we will be hand in hand through it all, looking to God our leader who loves us and sees a greater picture than we ever will. In 16 short months I can already count myself beyond blessed for all the experiences we've had and joy filled memories we've made. Here's to many more months and years of love, tickle fights, sleep talking, and tracing the Big Dipper of freckles on your cheek.

Love,
your Mrs.

Sister's Baby Shower

My nephew will be arriving December 3rd (+/-) and I can hardly wait! We celebrated a few weekends ago and had the best time showering my older sister and her baby bump with gifts and love. My mom and I had so much fun planning and decorating to make this celebration the kind my sister and her little man deserve! Here are a few photos from the day! We can't wait to meet you little man.

Opening Day

This time of year, we pretty much live at Weston's family cabin on the weekends thanks to his, to put it lightly, interest in hunting. Although I'm not a hunter, I very much look forward to these weekends of reading, knitting, nature, and a retreat from the hustle bustle of the workweek.

This is the view from the cabin porch. Saturday was opening day, although you would have thought it was Christmas Day. It's actually quite entertaining to see my normally even keel husband go bonkers with anticipation. No luck this weekend, but it was a fun and refreshing weekend nonetheless.

Because they go into the woods at the crack of dawn, I woke up to my hunter making breakfast. Yes, he hunts AND cooks. Keeper.

Although I didn't grow up around any kind of hunting (Weston refers to me as a city girl although is hardly call having Amish neighbors living in the city) I have grown to love the sport and being a hunters wife. My freezer appreciates it too.
The remainder of our weekend was full of  adventures and time with both of our Harleys (dog and bike)

beauty products I swear by.

1. Maybelline Baby lips- these little guys are the perfect fusion of the color of lipstick and moisture of Chapstick, plus SPF! I may have started a small collection of all their colors {Don't be intimidated by their brightness like I was at first, they go on a lot more muted}
2. Suave Keratin infused dry shampoo-LOVE this stuff. I have tried at least 10 dry shampoos because I do not wash my hair every day and need the perfect oil absorber to hold me over between washes. This is the first one that has a great 'salon' scent instead of something that resembles a citrus cleaning product. Plus, it's literally the cheapest option you can find!
3. Kat Von D tattoo liner in "Trooper"- I stumbled upon this product at Sephora by redeeming my rewards points for a sample size. I usually dont splurge on cosmetics aka buy anything at Sephora but after using this I will most definitley be spending the $18 for the full size. Best control, precision, and long lasting wear I've ever used in a liquid liner.
4. Seche Vite Topcoat- my cousin introduced me to this product. I was hesitant to spend the $10, but since have had absolutely no regrets. I really don't ever get manicures at salons anymore because this topcoat gives the perfect 'professional gloss' and makes my polish last longer than a salon manicure! Just try it.
5. Physicians Formula shimmer strips- A friend introduced me to this product 4 years ago, and I was instantly hooked! I am just finishing my first palette after 4 years and I use it almost every day for eyeshadow AND bronzer. It makes my blue eyes pop and gives the perfect subtle highlight to my face.

I hope you come to love these products as much as I do!
